I think there tends to be a core of regulars at each meeting, you could
try persuading one at each site to be a representative for that group.

nobody has yet volunteered to be that person, i dont mind hosting the
site and mailing list on my servers and keeping them going, but i dont
have the time to research and write content for it.

i do also wonder what there is that we could possibly put there on a
regular basis, links to news items someone found interesting is just
lame and done so much better by specialist news aggregator and social
bookmarking sites.

and the lug hasnt really had much activity going on to put up items
about its own goings on, perhaps this latest idea of taking notes at the
meetings and putting them online will liven things up a bit.

I'm sure this has come up before, and i believe it was decided at the
time that people were less likely to come at weekends as they had other
commitments. 

But this is for the attendees of the individual meeting sites to agree
amongst themselves, if the majority at a meeting want to change the days
then do so, the website reflects what the groups tell me they have
decided.
