Hi,
I may get flamed for this, but I found qmail very good. It needs slight
patching for up to date kernels but it's nice and easy to set up and
just works. Plus you don't see millions of vulnerabilities per week
coming out for it like you do with sendmail. The site is

configuration is simple too. Depending on what you need to do with it,
you can have it set up in 10 minutes.

I'd recommend postfix. It's also written to be secure, is trivial to
set up, and the main author doesn't seem to be a plonker.

For what it's worth, I'd agree with that - I tend to use Postfix unless
my customers have a particular desire to use an alternative.
