Hi all,
I'm just wondering how many companies people are aware of in the
Chepstow/Newport/Cardiff/Bridgend areas which use Linux to underpin
their business (as opposed to providing consultancy on Open Source
solutions etc).
I'm wondering if Wales is effectively "stitched-up" with Microsoft
because so many organisations are in or rely on the public sector - I
seldom see any reference to Wales in the Open-Source press... :(
Kind regards,
Matt

Well, my experience is all in the academic area, but Cardiff Uni has
tonnes of Linux servers. Nearly all Red Hat, I think. Mostly
virtual, of course. On the other hand, UWIC is almost 100%
Microsoft.
Don't know about anywhere else.
