I use demon (kind of), i have an old linux package with dsvr - bought
out by legend then by thus then by demon
or something like that.

I have very little space on it something like 600MB. so in the office
we have a ubuntu server that runs our intranet and it uses fetchmail and
courier to download our emails via pop3 and then expose an imap server
for us.
we still use the outgoing mail server directly at demon but the sent
mails get stored in the imap sent folder.

have got squirrel mail set up on it for webmail and roundcube (which is
sexy but used to be less compatible with older browsers - think its
pretty good now).

if you have your own server then it doesnt take very long to set up the
imap and fetchmail stuff.

just my twopenneth
