The benefit is that anyone with access can edit the page and pull request can be used for other updates. </p><p>If something a little more is required there is <a href="http://jekyllrb.com/">http://jekyllrb.com/</a> which can also generate static pages and be hosted out of github. There are others along the same lines that vary is the level of effort required.</p>
<p dir="ltr">If manageability is a concern, <a href="http://jade-lang.com/">http://jade-lang.com/</a> and <a href="http://sass-lang.com/">http://sass-lang.com/</a> can be used with a little setup. </p><p>There are lots of modern options available that don't involve someone running a server.</p>
