<br>for the first time. The entire Macintosh product line will<br>transition to Intel processors by the end of 2006.<br><br>During Mac OS X's transition to Intel processors, Eric<br>Albert, Senior Software Engineer in Apple's Core
<br>Technologies group, has worked on almost every part of the<br>operating system, from the OS kernel and compiler tools to<br>applications like iPhoto and Keynote.<br><br><br>He will discuss:<br> * The challenges of migrating an entire operating system
<br> to a new architecture<br> * How the Intel transition affects scientific computing<br> on Mac OS X<br> * How to make your own software run natively on both<br> PowerPC and Intel-based Macs<br> * Rosetta, the translation engine which enables existing
<br> PowerPC software to run on Intel-based Macs<br> * Intel's published processor roadmap and how it may<br> affect the future of personal and scientific computing<br><br>Also speaking is Graham Lee from the University of Oxford,
