I didn't know Samsung did Linux drivers for their printers. I bought a Canon MX860 because it has linux drivers available. Once I get my Gentoo distribution running (if ever), we shall see if that was a wise purchase! :-)

Children nowadays actually need a computer to do homework etc! Who'd have thought that would be the case! I'm not sure I'm doing the right thing trying to resurect an AthlonXP on Gentoo, but it's a wonderful learning opportunity! I've been banned from buying any more new kit by her-that-must-be-obeyed! :-)

Both my Xerox Phaser 8500 printers collapsed during the weekend. I decided repairs were not practical
so after research decided on a Samsung CLP-620ND. I ordered it yesterday and it arrived this morning.

After connecting it, I couldn't 'see' it on the network. I opened up an XP guest and installed it from the
packaged CD.

When I registered it with Samsung, I was amazed to find that it listed Linux drivers alongside the Windows
and MAC ones. All effortless. I hadn't seen that before.

Incidentally, when I looked at the CD under Linux, only Linux items showed up!
