[Wiltshire] WMware 2GB files

I am setting up VMware to run 2003 SBS on CentOS 5.1, I noticed the 
option to split the image into 2GB files was on by default, I know ext3 
can take files a lot larger than this however I am wondering is there 
any other advantage / disadvantage to spliting the files?

Also is anyone else running windows server on VMware on linux?
