Now, I keep thinking of jobs for which I could ideally do with a 3D printer so, I'm wondering if there are any recommendations? I've had a play with FreeCad to draw up an in car smart phone cradle that I made a couple of years in the old fashioned way via pattern and silicone rubber mould and am quite pleased with my effort at 3D CAD. I tried feeding prusa-slicer with that design which seemed happy. Now, I've been researching further and found a slicer called slic3r that can apparently be configured for all sorts of different printers so has options for RepRap Repetier Teacup Makerware Sailfish etc.... Can anyone recommend a decent printer please? I am thinking plastic filament squirting nozzle type, not sure what build volume, maybe 300mm^3 upwards would be great for what I currently have in mind. Prefer not to have anything that wants to keep "phoning home", just stick in a USB drive with a manufacturing file on it and press GO, if possible. Thanks for all suggestions. Dave
