When installing Ubuntu, it gives you the option of creating your own partitions. Just make sure that you created a <b>root</b>, a <b>swap</b> file, and another linux partition, <b>home</b> (I recommend 20GB for the home and 10 for the root and probably 1GB for the swap, depending on the space you have available, unless others have different ideas). I cannot quite remember the questions that you get asked, but you are taken into QTParted to make partitions rather than just let Ubuntu use the remaining free space on your disk. <br>
