Hello All,<div><br></div><div>I started off my programming life by hacking on PHP. I say hacking, I was playing with existing code - thats how I learnt.</div><div><br></div><div>I then bought a book called 'Head First Java' it is a very easy reading book that just seems to sink in.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I believe they do a Python one as well.<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">On 29 May 2012 00:35, Ralph Corderoy <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:ralph@inputplus.co.uk" target="_blank">ralph@inputplus.co.uk</a>></span> wrote:<br>

</div>I can see you had motivation for learning C++ but it's not a good one to<br>
start with IMO. Have a look at Python; the tutorial in the standard<br>
documentation is <a href="http://docs.python.org/py3k/tutorial/index.html" target="_blank">http://docs.python.org/py3k/tutorial/index.html</a>. You<br>
may want to skim a bit and see if it looks more friendly.<br>
<br>
Cheers, Ralph.<br>
