I am using Debian stable with the latest 2.2 kernel
compiled with ipchains support. I didnt want to use
testing and 2.4 on my stable router. :D

How is iptables better?

The cable modem is indeed on eth0 and dhcpd is not set
up, although I am gonna be looking into it over the
next few days.

BTW, what is an opie Aq?
