This bloke was getting a completely different error, but he was getting
your one as well, and the key thing is that the error wasn't stopping
him running X. I think it's the same for you: that s3v warning is a
*warning*, not an error, and it shouldn't stop X working. I think that
there's something else. You normally get about ninety screens of crap
when you start X from the command line; are you sure that there's not
something else in there that's stopping it from working?
