i tell you what would completely be *cool* - i was reading in last months linux format, 
( an obscure, but highly enjoyable magazine that has 'A GOD OF ROCK' writing for it ;- ) 
about a new linux 3D rendering app. Apparently is really easy to setup a render farm, 
just using IP info to distribute the load. We've recently been given a stack of 486s 
which would be v.good for this purpose, and it could really demonstate how a media 
company for example could make use of linux..
