i was wondering if its likely that old CD cd drives have problems reading certain cds? i.e ones with long filenames,
700MB capacities and so on?

Just that i was installing linux on some fab machines (thanks ron + nick :-) and it ready the mandrake cds fine,
but would it read the cd that had the website on that i need to install for the weekend? would it **ck! I got input
output errors and a variety of DriveReady Access errors. Anyway , the best spec machine (with a newer cd drive)
installed everything no probs, so i swapped the drives around and it worked fine..

i was just wondering for future reference if theres a guidline for how to make cd's that will definitely work on
older machines as its not viable to keep changing drives all the time?
