This is the whole point though. We don't *need* an
ircd. We don't even *need* a web server. The point is
not need but want. An example - we don't need a bot in
the IRC channel, but I wanted to set one up to play
with. It is all about playing with the software and if
that software can possibly benefit us as a group then
so be it.

Don't get me wrong...I am happy with Freenode as our
IRC server, but all I am saying is that I think the
argument that we shouldnt do something because we
don't *need* it isnt valid.
