We got this, like, On-Stream Di30 tape-drive thingie for backup at work,
in the Debian server(which already uses hpt37x2.o for RAID 0+1, which
also emulates SCSI). I've had *major* problems getting the thing to
work, as it needs ide-scsi, which I've configured before, for CD
writing, with no problem.

It turns out:
append="hdb=ide-scsi hdc=ide-scsi"
In lilo.conf, doesn't work.

However...
append="hdc=ide-scsi hdb=ide-scsi"
In lilo.conf, works.

Stupid feckin' ide-scsi.  Grrrr!

Or maybe I should just blame Highpoint for tainting the kernel.

Yeah, stupid feckin' Highpoint. Grrrr! :)
