Hi all,

A while back we did some LUG gaming which went well until we realised
that Linux games were generally pretty dull.

anyway, I found a commercial quality ID game that was given away by ID
on the net. It is Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. It obviously
needs a reasonably powerfull machine, but is this an option?

See
http://enemy-territory.4players.de:1041/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=2

Right click the Linux version and save it to the disk. It may come up
with modules.php as the filename, but rename it to something like
wolf.sh and download it. Its about 280MB. When you have downloaded it,
chmod it to run as an executable and run it.

follow through the GUI installer and then type 'et' to run it.

It is a complete multiplayer game with built in server. :)
