That's not sense - that's sheer lazyness.

It *does* make 'administrative sense' to run your own apt/yum/up2date
repository so packages can be installed as needed. It *does* make
'administrative sense' to use images/scripted installs so machines can
be easily (re)built.

It *doesn't* make 'administrative sense' to install everything just
because you have the room. It *doesn't* make administrative sense to
install services that aren't needed - if you install all those services
then they add your maintenance workload because they still need to be
secured/patched even if they are disabled.
