Oh I see, you work for Powergen.

Yes, it's almightily short-sited for Powergen to break their website, to
stop it working with Firefox. The whole point of the web is that it's interoperable.
Also, the Powergen site works perfectly with Firefox, if you make it think
it's something else. So, why do the browser sniff? If people have sufficient
web development skills to get a job doing it, surely they can make it work
with IE's broken way of doing things, and work with real browsers too.

I choose my electricity and gas supplier based on a number of things - mainly
price and customer service. While it's just a simple browser sniffing problem,
that I can fix, I'll stick with Powergen. If I were a new customer, or the
problem became more serious (use of ActiveX, or something stupid like that)
I'd switch my account immediately.
