Hi Wayne

Are you sure its [.so.5 ] in /usr/lib/  ?

Is it [.so.5] that Xawtv is asking for?

Have you tried yum update first before trying yum install Xawtv  ?

I take it you do yum clean fairly regular?

You could try yum --force install Xawtv

its been a while since I've used yum, I've found apt to be better IMHO.
