The original motivation for the Linux section of my
site (i'm guessing this is the part we are referring
to) was to create something I could point people at
when I was explaining Linux to them, or converting
them over. I basically wanted to draw together all of
the information they needed to start out (what is
Linux, what does it do, what are the major components,
how does it compare to Windows, why should I care
about Linux etc) and also as a dumping ground for
writing up stuff that I had to do and might not
remember how I did it, or stuff that my friends would
need to learn how to do at an early stage. I guess
that is where the comparison can be drawn.

Alas some parts of that section need re-writing or
updating now and some parts I never got around to
writing at all, though I still plan to.
