Hi All

Following on from my reply to Woo's post but on a different topic.

Because I was having problems getting my fixed IP addresses working I thought
I 'd get around it by setting my Suse box as a DHCP server, having never done
this before I spent late nights and threats of divorce huddled over the Suse
manual (and other books) trying to set it up.

To cut a long story short its now up and working along with my fixed IP as
well, while pawing over different books I read that this will also allow me
to let my laptop use the dialup connection which would be a bonus.

However at the moment I haven't the foggiest how to do it, I tried the lazy
way starting my dial up connection (manual) on the Suse machine then trying
to browse and get mail on my FC4 Laptop but it failed. Of course it failed
you moron its not that simple!

Theres obviously a bit more to it than just hooking up a network cable and
logging on to the network, about the only thing I can do at the moment is use
the NFS share I set up. I've not tried SSH etc, etc.

I have done Ron's suggestion regarding my PGP key we'll see if it works Monday
or tomorrow if I can get the modem sharing sorted out it looks like it may
have worked anyway.
