Oh god yes, I agree with you entirely it was just a bit of a shock
seeing as on the box all is says is Win98/2000/XP and Mac.

The same can be said for the reader under Windows, the readme said
"There should be no need to use these drivers under 98se or higher"
consequently no drivers needed installing.

Mine does the same as your Jennies, it shows up as four drives (strange
as its a 7in1) stupid as it sounds I was more interested in the two USB
slots on the front I'm forever having to pull my base out to access the
six on the back so it was a double bonus really.
