[Wolves] Linux Virtual machines

Hi all

I was wondering if people have any recommendations on
Linux virtual machines, thats virtual instances of
Linux on an existing Linux, rather than the Java or
.NET type software execution environment vm.

User Mode Linux used to be the one but looks abandoned
since 2002/kernel 2.4.x or so. Is Xen the new
equivalent?
