Firstly thanks to everyone who has posted.

Secondly you have all given me so much to look in to, so now I am
hoping that I will be more able to take a job in
computers/networking/sys admin.

My idea is that I will continue with the work I started only now hone
in on the skills employers are actually looking for so thanks a lot to
one and all. :-) big grins all round.

p.s. just got the Ipcop firewall up and running as smoothwall 2 was
struggling on the hardware I had.
