I didn't write it honest :-S

Actually, shock horror, I think he's a knobend. The main flavors of
Linux-standard-desktop-workstation are no more difficult to use now than
Windows is, its only when you start setting up Servers sticking non-standard
stuff on that so called problems rear their ugly heads if you use it 'as is'
generally theres not that many problems.

Even Windows users have to seek help be it via a phone or the Internet when
they run into problems so IMHO his argument is bollocks.

I do however agree Ubuntu is a spruced up eye candy of Debian but to me that's
a good thing, when I first joined this group Jono (I believe) was using
Debian like a sheep I installed it too.

Debian is very stable and as everyone knows has 100,000000 packages :P
But I thought the GUI was awful stuck in the realms of RH7 so when Ubuntu
burst on the scene it was a shot in the arm for Debian as far as I'm
concerned.

When Ubuntu first came out I slagged it off (What? Pete slagged it off did you
hear that?) but I changed my mind over time. I do get a bit fed up of hearing
about it all the bloody (Oops) time but then I suppose if I used it day in
day out I'd be one of those trumpeters too.

The only reasons I don't use it full time is; (I know the answers by the way)

1. I don't like sudo
2. I've spent 4+ years with RPM not gonna start learning dpkg now.
3. I'm comfortable with what I use.
4. O yes and the pooh coloured theme. :D

PS I'm a member of the Ubuntu forums and do look through them now and again,
Ive even posted :P
