In fairness this is a GTK+ app running under KDE, so
what I think you have is a completely unthemed Gnome
application surrounded by KDE window decoration.

I agree the screenshots look a little hard. It looks a
lot softer under Gnome in Ubuntu. It's not the
prettiest app, more functional.
