I agree entirely with Peter's comments about this silly KDE v Gnome
thing.  The comics bring it up every so often.  Why????  It only
serves to fuel silly and petty arguments between users.  The fact is
they are both bloody fantastic desktops.  They both need a decent
specced machine to run at an acceptable level though.

Now, KDE lite or Gnome Lite might be good for those older PC's.

By the way, the problems actually start for both desktops when you
want to use app's from the other.  You end up having to install a load
of dependencies for that one app' a lot of the time.
