[Wolves] dvb on dapper

I'm having a bit of a problem getting my dvb receiver installed on a
laptop under dapper - specifically, I haven't got a clue how to do it.
It's an Artec T1 usb - which according to t'interweb, can be installed
on linux (debian and fedora). Unfortunately, nobody seems willing to
tell HOW they installed it.

The idea is that I can take the DVB doohickey to my boat with my lapdog,
and work/play in glorious solitude. That means I'll need to be able to
retune it fairly easily. I'm not bothered about recording or tivo style
tricks, I just want to get dapper to find the dvb box, let me tune it,
and watch telly with a glass of chateaux spline in my hand and my feet up.

I can do it with windows, but I don't want to have to reboot into
another OS just to watch telly.

Anyone got any ideas how to make the dream happen?
