[Wolves] Suggest an OS

My laptop's a similar vintage, although we bumped up the RAM a bit. It
runs Xubuntu quite happily. If you don't want to go for an
Ubuntu-based thing for whatever reason, then I'd still recommend
giving the XFCE front end a look. It's got pretty much everything you
need of a GUI, but is very lightweight. If you can get it up and
running at all, I'd recommend running Crucial's memory advisor over it
to see if you can upgrade the RAM.
