That's an incredibly stylish film as well.  I love the way the
neo-Victorian look foreshadowed what would happen on Carnaby St a few
years later. 

Besides that version of the machine itself was probably the biggest
influence on steam punk literature which would have been enough if the
film had been crap.

It's amazing how off-topic these discussions can go and remain on topic
for the people on the list ;)   I missed that.
