[Wolves] OTT: drupal website problem with banner

i am doing a website for a charity Disabilty Action redditch.

I have put the banner problem to one side for last few months cos
other things where going on.

I would like to get something that seems quite simple sorted out with
the banner/header not fitting the width of the screen.

i have svg version so should be easy enough to scale to right size.

does it require programming or php to make it stretch too correct size
depending on screen size of viewer.

any help would be helpfully.

my friend robert is hosting the website for the charity , so have full
access if need to be done via programming but would like as simple
solution to this as possible.
