[Wolves] how to keep linux mint 13 alive a bit longer?

yeah would like to move the person over to linux mint 17.2 but i am
not allowed , does not understand and i have not got the energy to
explain why it is better , just leaving them to have loads of probs
with it such as firefox crashing and corrupting the profile and
bookmarks etc
it hard cos i have to spend an age trying to recover a corrupted
firefox profile but when i said it would have been easy too back
everything up and start from stratch they did not believe me  , so
what do i do. i am not getting paid for this laptop and i can't accept
money anyway got the jobcentre goes nuts about it and it breaks there
computer system cos it can't cope with one off payment for work and it
not getting any better when univerisal credit comes in and i think
that will be scrapped soon anyway cos it such a can of worms that
welfare reform the whole world against me using my computer skills
