<div>Used to work in navel dockyards: Rosyth and Devonport.</div>
<div>Rosyth used to service the nuclear subs and were undoubtedly given (MOD) a princely sum to recover land from the sea to create a nice basin to build dry docks to service and maintain the new Astute class subs. The first of which caught fire / burnt outs its generator bearings a few week ago. Anyway a few years ago and circa £800m later the land was recovered (takes about 45 mins to walk round) only for the then struggling conservatives to award the contract to Devonport because it thought it might get it more votes in the up and coming elections!

<div>Not sure the first boat will be commissioned in Devonport as they had problems with earthquake tests. Rosyth virtually shut!</div>

<div>Its sort of like the data fiasco's - we don't really know how inept / wasteful they really are do we.</div>
