The GUI???<br><br>You could disable hardware you dont need (bluetooth, cdroms, etc, etc) or set up hardware profiles. Can you do that in Linux?<br><br>Run it off a 2.5 SAS drive or laptop drive. You can barely hear the discs on the new servers with 2.5" SAS drives.<br>

Apart from the monitor settings are there any other power saving utilities in<br>Kubuntu 7.10? I've never had to think about this before but now that I have<br>a permanently on PC running Kubuntu 7.10 I think it's about time I did :-)<br>
