</div>Mo, constructive input this time. Are you 100% sure everything is ok<br>
with your hardware? I don't know how to check the CPU but the hard<br>
drive can be checked with Palimpsest Disk Utility. I would also be<br>
running Memtest at this stage with it hanging badly. I could be wrong<br>
but it would eliminate another area.<br></blockquote><div><br>Lets get some basic info first:<br>1. What graphics card?<br>2. How much RAM?<br>3. What CPU?<br>4. What wireless card?<br>5. What ethernet card?<br>6. What motherboard?<br>
<br>On the working Mandriva install, Open /etc/X11/xorg.conf, Under the section "Device" what does it say after "Driver".<br><br>I have before seen problems with nvidia graphics cards on the ubuntu installer but this was 8.04.<br>
