Hello

I'm sammi's husband. I've been programming since 1976, and doing it for
a living since 1978. I first met Unix at System V Release 2 in about
1985, and have run Linux at home since Red Hat 4.2. My current work
involves Red Hat 7.3 (yes I know it's ancient, but we've had no time to
port all our in-house packages to anything newer)!

The house firewall and my own system are running Debian Sarge, with
upgraded X.Org and KDE from backports.org + a number of home-compiled
backports. Sammi's is on pure Sarge for stability.

Despite that, or maybe because of it, I'm not a full time computer geek
:-) I do like to have time for other interests. I'm always learning
new things about this software - mostly because it's still changing fast,
to be sure :)

And I know nothing about running LUGs I'm afraid ...

Nick
