Hi Everyone,
I have established a useful link with Retford Life through which I have
published a couple of articles promoting Clarborough & Welham IT Group's
activities (I chair the Group). If you get hold of back copies you will
find my pieces about Getting Voluntary Groups online (February 2011 page
42) and Clarborough & Welham website (January 2011 page 62) but it was
an article called Hello, operator?' in there February issue that really
caught my eye. It was illustrated with a Windows logo alongside one of Tux!

The author of that article, Graham Lek, was bemoaning Windows 7 but
having briefly passed over Apply and Linux systems, be concluded that
'it looks like we're stuck with whatever version of Windows Microsoft
chooses to foist on us'. That really does have to be challenged, so this
morning I've knocked together the attached article. Please criticise
(positvely please!) and suggested amendments so that I can get our
perspective into print. Retford Life's deadline is 11th Feb so we
haven't got much time!

I've attached versions in both MS Word and OpenOffice formats.

All the best to everyone.

Greg Herdman
