I'll be travelling that road myself, coming from Sandy.

There is a one-way system in the vicinity of the Pilgrim's Progress and the
best route in is probably as follows:

1) Take the A603 through Moggerhanger and Willington towards Bedford.
2) Head straight over the roundabout with Tesco and the Oasis Beach Pool on
   the right.
3) At the next roundabout turn left into Rope Walk passing PC World on your
   left.
4) At the next roundabout bear right and take the centre lane so you may take
   the right fork.
5) At the traffic lights move into the left-hand lane while passing Bedford
   College.
6) Turn left at the traffic lights and continue over the Town Bridge bearing
left to pass the Magistrates Courts and Town Hall.
7) Turn left at the Civic Theatre adjacent to the Town Hall.
8) If you take the right lane you are taken into the Harpur Centre underground
car park. Watch out for oncoming traffic here.
Alternatively, there is pay-and-display parking to the left just past the
next roundabout. I'm not sure if the charges apply in the evening.
9) The Pilgrim's Progress is located just round the corner from the Harpur
Centre car park in River Street. It's quite a large building on the left
as you head towards Midland Road.
