[Blackburn] A few questions

Hi,

I've got pretty much an exact setup of what you've just asked here at my
place. I have BTOpenworld Home 500 (or whatever its called) which has a
dynamic IP address. However it doesn't change that much, probably once every
month or so. My DNS host for my website supports dynamic update so I do that
to keep my web presence.

However the modem that BT supplied is a Speedtouch USB (little green frog
thing) and I've got quite skilled in the past year or so at getting them to
work in linux. I have a spare PCI USB controller that you're welcome to
purchase off me (couple of quid, not a lot) and I can give you help getting
the modem running in linux (this is assuming you have a speedtouch)

By way of your P333, I hosted my website, email, ftp, and goodness knows
what else quite easily off a P266 with 128mb and 3 incredibly slow 2gb hard
drives for over a year. If you're running Linux you don't really need to
ditch the P333.

Regards,

Matt
