using slackware 10, (kde 3.2.3, gnome 2.6.0), gnome-settings-deamon
isn't in my path by default, its in /usr/libexec,)

i log into X as root (im behind a NAT box, so im reasonably safe, and i
try to keep ontop of patches) so gnome-settings-deamon wont execute
(says it wont run as root). is there any way to keep the settings of GTK
applications between KDE sessions (no chris, i dont like fluxbox). ive
been told its something to do with gnome-settings-deamon, but it wont
run as root.

any idea's? TIA

(ps. woo! first question)
