[Blackpool] Server issue query

Hi all,

I seem to be running into problems with my VPS suddenly being sluggish and
unresponsive. I've had a gander at /var/log/error and the last few lines
read like this:

Apr 17 19:31:04 hig1 syslog-ng[261]: EOF on control channel, closing connection;
Apr 17 19:31:17 hig1 ntpdate[105]: Can't adjust the time of day:
Operation not permitted
Apr 17 19:31:27 hig1 ntpdate[1386]: Can't adjust the time of day:
Operation not permitted
Apr 17 19:31:42 hig1 ntpdate[1390]: step-systime: Operation not permitted

Is this likely to cause a significant problem? It looks like it's just
complaining about... adjusting date and time related stuff - that shouldn't
cause my VPS to become sluggish, though, should it? There's nothing eating
memory or CPU, either.

Any ideas?
