Hi,Thanks Mike, Jack and I will be there and we are off to Raspberry Jam after.

My eldest has gone off on a long weekend and I forgot to ask for her old laptop before she went, so I won't be trying to install Mint this Saturday.
I think I'll faff with the Linux on my Pi, I've enabled I2C on it and trying to chat with a compass component I've seen working on an Arduino.  Then the step after that will be a simple bit of code on a PIC to constantly do analog to digital and make the values available over I2C for the Pi. 


(Progress on my application to choreograph the biped robot has been slow, it has got the start of a multi-touch interface with gestures.  All new to me so it's taking it's sweet time.
Looks like I got what I paid for with the cheapo LiPo cells I bought of eBay for the robot, been cycling them on a charger/discharger that gives a readout of the capacity and  I am seeing 400mAh which is low but on top of that the adafruit power boost has a voltage protection that is kicking in earlier than expected. It might be interesting to measure the internal resistance of these cells, I suspect the voltage is dropping under load.  Hmmmm I might have to get the thing to run at LiPo voltage as originally planned or worse case redesign the layout so I can fit the bigger cells I originally bought from the UK for the job.


I will get around to start posting these things with pics and more text on the group blog, I trashed my keychain when I upgraded my MacBook to Yosemite and still not got around to sorting my gmail out.)
