I have done pretty much nothing maker wise in the last fortnight. I deployed chemicals on some tree stumps. The cheap chainsaw chains I bought seemed to be great on clean wood, I shifted two more small sycamores with ease. But when I went back to gritty roots they lost their edge far quicker than a full price chain. I'd have to say my idea to use cheap chains on roots and then throw the chains was a fail, even at that price it's not financially viable and the metal isn't worth the ages it takes to re sharpen the cutting edges.
