Hi Folks -
More information from Berlin LUG regarding the intention to set up an
international event. I forwarded the initial email to the list a few weeks
back.
I have replied to say we have a couple of people interested in getting
involved.
Anyone with contacts at other LUGs, could you forward this to them.
Thanks.

any reaction so far?
You are the only one of the ten LUGs I have contacted who has replied
yet. Do you (or your LUG members) know members of other LUGs, especially
those which I have contacted? Maybe the results are better if somebody
from the neighbourhood asks...
Meanwhile there is a second interested location: Scarborough. A writer
of a German Linux magazine has moved there and wants to organize the LPD
there. I am not in contact with him yet, though. His chief editor has
told me.
The situation abroad:
Several of the Italien groups are interested in participating. They even
want to do their events more the way we do ours.
The nationwide Dutch LUG intends to participate.
Our Swiss organisers take care of France (via the LUGs in the French
part of Switzerland which are supposed to be well connected to those in
France). Our organizers in Northern Germany will care about Denmark. I
am going to contact several groups in Spain.
One of our German organizers has a contact to Belgium. But more
important will probably be that the Italians intend to organize a
meeting of the nationwide LUGs at FOSDEM 2016. That should be enough to
get Belgium informed about the event. I will give a talk at 32C3.
On November, 30th I have contacted lug.org.uk; no reaction from there
yet, too.
