Hiya
I'm looking for a new distro to try
at the moment I'm using gentoo and while I love Gentoo I have a few bug
bears that really annoy me
so looking for a new distribution to give a go
so far I've played with
Arch linux failed to install shame really as i liked this one from a
previous install and can have encrypted system
Fedora 9 the GUI package manager looks like its not been finished and that
annoyed me, but i did like that it can be encrypted
ubuntu was ok but could not hibernate & no encrypted setup
Open suse . dvd from cover disk on a magazine failed to read , downloading
DVD ISO as we speak but 5hours to go :0(
Things i need
Blue tooth ,support in nautilus (gnome) or KDE equivalent
java or more important josm (open street mapping software)
Virtual box / vmware
Ruby on Rails (version 2 preferred )
Firefox to support Java & Flash
Wine version 1
Evil things i need
Nvidia gfx cards ,yes evil drivers i know but i can't standl with the lack
of responsiveness the open source version provides , plus i play tux cart
and other linux glx games
mp3 support , once again yes evil . but i don't fancy re ripping my cd
collection to make them ogg to then not be able to play them on my mp3
player
Adobe flash.. nuff said
DVD video support
many thanks
