[Bradford] parasiterc file

hiya

just been doing my monthly back up  and while reviewing the logs I noticed a
file called
/.parasiterc

the file contains
what i assume is binary stuff as it maded my terminal go funky and gedit
refused to open it

any ideas what this is?
