Hi,

Next Tuesday is World Intellectual Property Day and there's a related
event at the Gumption Centre in Bradford. These events tend not to
understand the open source side of intellectual property and it's
often worth going along to debate. It may also be worth discussing at
the Lug on Wednesday.

The World Intellectual Property Day celebration takes place on Tuesday
26th April 2011 at 2pm at the Gumption Centre.

"Bradford is the only city in the UK (and possibly the world) to name
a street after an intellectual property right so it is a delight to be
here on this very special day" says IP barrister Jane Lambert.

The seminar "Designing the Future" is free of charge and focusses on
how design touches every aspect of human creativity. There will be
lots of information and contacts relating to IP on the day too.

Presentations will be given by Jane Lambert, Gita Mistry and Peter
Groves who has just published his excellent Dictionary of Intellectual
Property Law.

Please book via 01274 271114 or email info at gumptioncentres.co.uk.

Alice
