Hi David,

You are right on all points (BGP, date, reason for mailman to complain).

Yes, I explain how you can use a dynamic protocol to tell your network from a server where an IP is located.
It mean that you can have a server in one location, with a backup server in another data center for example.
It is a way to have a active/passive configuration to deal with hw failure but unlike other solution which does not rely on trick to move the IP/MAC address from one machine to another.
